Recommended specification for seating skate park equipment

Both construction methods should allow for a 1 in 100 fall off to assist with correct surface water drainage unless otherwise specified.

Tarmac

  1. Excavate area to a depth of 220mm
  2. Install concrete path edgings to perimeter
  3. Lay type one road stone base to a depth of 150mm (tolerance of ± 10mm)
  4. Lay asphalt base course to a depth of 45mm
  5. Lay asphalt smooth rolled wearing course to a depth of 20mm
  6. Maximum deviation of 3mm under a 3m straight edge

Concrete

  1. Excavate area to a depth of 250mm
  2. Lay type one road stone base to a depth of 125mm (tolerance of ± 10mm)
  3. Laser level concrete to PAV 2 specification with expansion joints and floated smooth finish to a depth of 125mm
  4. Maximum deviation of 3mm under a 3m straight edge
