Providing good, well designed and manufactured Skateboard parks improves overall safety for this very determined group who will ‘invent’ their own ride areas when they have not been planned as part of local recreation provision.

While acknowledging, that in providing a skateboard facility, accidents will occur, the number and severity of skate related accidents is likely to much higher in the area if facilities is not provided.
